Four styles

Picket, blade, slat or batten

  • Vertical picket

    3500mm or 5000mm wide, 1200mm or 1800mm high

    Evenly spaced pickets for a clean, structured look.

  • Vertical blade

    3500mm or 5000mm wide, 1200mm or 1800mm high

    Blades spaced to balance visibility and privacy.

  • Horizontal slat

    3000mm, 4000mm or 5000mm wide, 1200mm or 1800mm high

    Slats that close for privacy, opening in the middle.

  • Vertical batten

    1200mm or 1800mm high, any width made to order

    Square aluminium battens, standing upright.

  • Those are the standard sizes. Any width and height is made to order.
  • 1.8m is our standard height. In Queensland a fence or gate up to 2m high generally needs no building approval.
  • A pedestrian door can be built into any of the four styles.

Assembled or welded

Assembled

Each leaf screwed together at our yard, ready to install.

  • Both leaves ready to install
  • Costs less than welded
  • Ready to pick up in about a week

Welded

Each leaf welded in one piece at our yard, ready to install.

  • No screws, rivets or drilled holes to loosen over time
  • More rigid and stable than the assembled gate
  • Recommended for sloping driveways

Either one can be installed by FY: installs led by our director, QBCC trade contractor licence 15027695. Both can be made for a sloping driveway, quoted to suit. Welded is recommended.

Assembled or welded, every swing gate comes with everything it needs. Posts are extra.

Not included

  • Posts are not included: add them at an additional cost.
  • The motor is sold separately. We supply it, and install it if you need.
  • The power connection is not included: your licensed electrician handles that.

Swing gate questions

Sliding or swing: which driveway gate is better?

Sliding gates suit sloped or narrow driveways and need less clearance; swing gates suit wider, level entrances.

What sizes do your swing gates come in?

Vertical picket and vertical blade in 3500mm or 5000mm widths, horizontal slat in 3000mm, 4000mm or 5000mm, each 1200mm or 1800mm high. Vertical batten in 1200mm or 1800mm high, made to your width. Any other width and height is made to order.

What colours can I choose?

Black, Monument and White are our standard three. Any other Colorbond colour can be made, at an additional cost. Match from a sample in the yard before you order.

How long does a swing gate take?

An assembled gate is ready to pick up in about a week; a welded gate in about 2.5 to 3 weeks, powder coating included. Times, and installation dates, depend on availability.

Can a swing gate have a motor?

Yes. Our swing gate motor, the Ditec PWR, comes single or double, for one leaf or both, priced on your quote, and we can install it. The power connection is not included: your licensed electrician handles that.

Do you install swing gates?

Yes. Buy supply-only, or have us measure, make and install across South East Queensland. Delivery is included with installation. Installs are led by our director, who holds QBCC trade contractor licence no. 15027695.
