  • Horizontal slat

    4000mm or 6000mm wide, 1200mm or 1800mm high

  • Vertical batten

    1200mm or 1800mm high, any width made to order

    Square aluminium battens, standing upright.

  • Those are the standard sizes. Any width and height is made to order.
  • Any width, wider than 6 metres too, made to suit your opening.
  • 1.8m is our standard height. In Queensland a fence or gate up to 2m high generally needs no building approval.
  • Telescopic sliding gates, two leaves that stack as they open, made to order.
  • A pedestrian door can be built into any of the four styles.

Welded

  • No screws, rivets or drilled holes to loosen over time
  • More rigid and stable than the assembled gate
  • Recommended for sloping driveways

Either one can be installed by FY: installs led by our director, QBCC trade contractor licence 15027695. Both can be made for a sloping driveway, quoted to suit. Welded is recommended.

Sliding gate questions

Sliding or swing: which driveway gate is better?

Sliding gates suit sloped or narrow driveways and need less clearance; swing gates suit wider, level entrances.

What sizes do your sliding gates come in?

Vertical picket in 3500mm or 6000mm widths, vertical blade and horizontal slat in 4000mm or 6000mm, each 1200mm or 1800mm high. Vertical batten in 1200mm or 1800mm high, made to your width. Any other width and height is made to order.

What colours can I choose?

Black, Monument and White are our standard three. Any other Colorbond colour can be made, at an additional cost. Match from a sample in the yard before you order.

How long does a sliding gate take?

An assembled gate is ready to pick up in about a week; a welded gate in about 2.5 to 3 weeks, powder coating included. Times, and installation dates, depend on availability.

Can a sliding gate have a motor?

Yes. Our sliding gate motor comes with two remote controls, priced on your quote, and we can install it. The power connection is not included: your licensed electrician handles that.

Do you install sliding gates?

Yes. Buy supply-only, or have us measure, make and install across South East Queensland. Delivery is included with installation. Installs are led by our director, who holds QBCC trade contractor licence no. 15027695.
